Most people would agree that this is a choice. However here is a counterargument you see because learning to read a language like Chinese takes a long time.your mind about learning Chinese characters maybe it is because you are starting to take your studies more seriously or you want to achieve a higher level. level then you will definitely kick yourself for not starting sooner man I could have just learned kanji once a day for the past two years but now I have learned hundreds of kanji instead I have to start from scratch I'm sorry to say this. I am japanese my japanese script failed and i am paying for it now Phone Number List trolls my japanese speaking is pretty good but my reading and writing well i have to admit its pretty bad. I never read seriously, probably because I am naturally good at talking, so I don’t think it is necessary. But I now regret this decision very much because now I am trying to move up to a higher level and my language semi-literacy is really holding me back. As a method creator I know the importance of reading. If only I'd done a little more regularly over the years, damn I could read War and Peace by now. So to someone just starting out I would probably say if you have even the slightest hint that you might want to take your language seriously then don't mess around. Start learning scripts once you start learning the language. Don't worry about how long it takes. just do it. Although it may seem difficult at first, you'll be surprised how much reading skills can help you learn the language itself. Even if learning to speak is your main goal, reading will only make it faster.
