Firstly, Hello everyone!
1. Name: (optional)
Will
2. IGN:
CitizenCrane
3. Age:
25
4. Location (country):
UK (England, more specifically)
5. How did you find out about the server?
From the post made on the r/mcservers subreddit - Link Here
6. Have you ever been on a vanilla whitelist server before? If you haven't, why are you joining one now?
Yes, at least 4 times before, since Beta 1.8
7. Have you ever been banned from a server? If so, what happened?
No, never been banned!
8. We like to know what kind of person we're accepting into the server, tell us about yourself (hobbies, interests and other games):
I'm a university student, in my second year of an engineering degree. I'm not that sporty - definitely more of your stereotypical nerd. I like sci-fi films and tv shows, gaming, and long walks on the beach. I try to keep up with the news and politics, though I'm far more interested in tech news than current events. It's always really hard to try and sum yourself up in a few sentences on these things, but in short; I'm just a pretty relaxed, ordinary english guy.
As far as gaming goes; I don't get to play as much as I used to. I used to play Call of Duty, back in the days of MW2 and Black Ops 2, and I still love playing Zombies (though its so hard to find a good lobby these days on the older games). I like to play Mario Kart 8, Borderlands, the Arkham Batman games and the Bioshock series. I have a painfully long list of games I mean to get around to playing! I'm also partial to a bit of Zelda and Pokemon from time to time.
9. How would you describe yourself as a player?
I tend to focus on a single, often elaborate, base that is reasonably far from other people. I love interacting with other players, don't get me wrong - but I don't like the idea of stepping on other player's toes. I usually try to connect a nether portal tunnel asap, so that I can build without bothering people, but also be close enough to participate in group activities (games, community builds, group mining expeditions, boss fights etc). Of course I'd be happy if someone wanted to build a base right next to me - as long as they knew how to share!
I like to build with redstone, and I love learning new tricks with it - as well as helping others out where I can. My bases usually have a plethora of hidden passages, tunnels, mechanisms and such. My favourite style of build is definitely more "dungeon" than "house", as I find building underground makes hiding the wiring much easier! I don't think I'm an amazing builder; I definitely prefer decorating interiors, to exteriors, but I'm not bad at all.
If the rest of the server are making player-run shops, or similar, then I'd love to build and run one! I love it when a community can create a semi-functional economy right in vanilla, and it's a great way to spark some good community builds.
10. Lastly, do you plan to be a long term player?
Yes! As long as I feel like the community has similar interests and playing style to me (which I think this community does, from the reddit post). Unfortunately there will be some times that I can't play as much, when I've got exams and stuff, but I think the longest I'd ever go without playing at least a little bit, would be a week.
